a reason to stay up late monday night. . .or get up early tuesday morn.

November 15, 2009

From stardate.org:

The next meteor shower is the Leonids on November 17-18. The shower will peak in the predawn hours of November 17. The Moon will be just past new, so it won’t interfere with the shower. Experts predict that this will be a good year for the Leonids.

Our view in Swampscott won’t be anywhere near as spectacular as the above photo taken in 1998 at Joshua Tree, but we caught it last year and it makes for some fun oohing and aahing.
